Port intelligent robot industry ecology has taken shape
 
At present, the intelligent robot industry ecology in the new area of Lingang has initially taken shape.
 
Wu Xiaohua, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of Lingang New Area, introduced that the new area focuses on the development of artificial intelligence industry, and intelligent robots are the key application track. Lingang has gathered more than 150 AI core enterprises and introduced 5,000 R & D personnel. Around the four fields of general robot, industrial robot, service and special robot, AI technology has gathered nearly 40 enterprises related to the industrial chain.
 
The robot industry base of Lingang New Area is located in the Science and Technology Innovation City community of the International Innovation Association, focusing on the intelligent robot industry, aiming at the frontier fields of the general robot, service robot, industrial robot and other subdivisions. Relying on universities, research institutes and professional funds, it builds a functional platform for scientific and technological innovation, and attracts the main enterprises of the core link of the industrial chain. Incubate and cultivate robot industrial clusters with technology leadership and industry driving ability.
 
On the same day, 15 key projects in the intelligent robot industry signed a centralized settlement, covering the upstream and downstream industry chains such as AI technology, core components, robot ontology, and industry applications, involving many well-known enterprises in the subdivision track. Including general humanoid robot enterprise wisdom robot, underwater operation special robot enterprise CRRC Essendi, multi-modal large model landing application enterprise deep thinking, photovoltaic cleaning robot enterprise weaving light intelligence, etc.
 
Led by six academicians, the General Robot Industry Research Institute serves as a collaborative innovation platform for "government, industry, university and research", providing think tank consulting services, common technology research and development, achievement incubation and transformation, application innovation demonstration, industrial fund and investment and financing analysis, and open exchange and cooperation. The Lingang New Area intelligent robot Industry ecological Consortium brings together 29 member units such as intelligent robot enterprises, platform institutions, financial institutions, universities and application scenarios, which will actively promote the innovative integration and agglomeration development of Shanghai's intelligent robot industry.
 
Wu Xiaohua said that in the future, the new area will continue to make efforts around 10 aspects of robot machine, AI chip, AI core technology, key components, intelligent computing power, application scenarios, research and development science and technology innovation platform, industrial funds, universities and institutions, and park carriers, to further strengthen the development base of intelligent robot industry and build a benchmarking demonstration area for intelligent robot application.

"The skills and capabilities of intelligent robots will be more flexible, safe, dexterous and widely adaptable, non-standard movements, widely used in industrial, agricultural, logistics, underwater, large health and other scenarios." Chen Xiaoping, professor of the School of Computer Science and Technology, director of the Robot Laboratory and director of the Artificial Intelligence Center of the University of Science and Technology of China, proposed that it is expected that in the next 5 to 10 years, the industrialization of intelligent robots will make a historic breakthrough.
 
Yan Weixin, co-founder of Zhiyuan Robot and associate researcher at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, said that humanoid robots will play a transformative leading and driving role in artificial intelligence and future industries, intelligent machines have gradually developed to general robots, will have stronger perception, cognition and decision-making capabilities, and motion control technology to achieve more fine and flexible motion control. The ability of self-learning and self-adaptation will be further strengthened, and it will be applied in the fields of flexible intelligent manufacturing, interactive services, special surrogates, teaching and research, and go deep into People's Daily life.
