 People's Daily Beijing, November 3 (reporter Zhao Zhuqing) The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the "Humanoid Robot Innovation and Development Guidance" (hereinafter referred to as the "Guidance"), plans to 2025, the initial establishment of humanoid robot innovation system; By 2027, its comprehensive strength will reach the world's advanced level and become an important new engine for economic growth. The "Guiding Opinions" proposed to take breakthroughs in artificial intelligence technology such as large models as the lead, and on the basis of mature robot technologies, focus on breakthroughs in the fields of humanoid robots "brain" and "cerebellum", "limb" key technologies, and technological innovation systems.
 
Specifically, the first is to develop a humanoid robot "brain" based on a large artificial intelligence model, enhance environmental perception, behavioral control, human-computer interaction capabilities, develop the "cerebellum" to control the movement of humanoid robots, build a motion control algorithm library, and establish a network control system architecture. The second is to systematically deploy the key technology group of "robot limb", create human-like robotic arms, dexterous hands and legs, tackle the key technology group of "machine body", and break through lightweight bone, high-strength body structure, high-precision sensing and other technologies. The third is to build and improve the technological innovation system of humanoid robot manufacturing industry, support leading enterprises to lead joint production, university and research to form an innovation consortium, accelerate the integration of humanoid robots with cutting-edge technologies such as meta-universe and brain-computer interface, and explore interdisciplinary and cross-field innovation models.
 
The relevant person in charge of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology introduced that the "Guiding Opinions" will create the whole machine product, consolidate the basic components, and promote software innovation as the main direction of development. In terms of the whole machine products, build a basic version of the whole machine, build a general humanoid robot platform, develop low-cost interactive, high-precision and highly reliable humanoid robot products in extreme environments, and strengthen the mass production and manufacturing capacity of humanoid robot machines; In terms of basic components, the development of humanoid robot special sensors, high power density actuators, special chips, and high energy efficiency special power components; In terms of software innovation, we will build a dedicated operating system for humanoid robots with high real-time, high reliability and high intelligence, develop application software for various scenarios, and build and improve humanoid robot application development platforms and toolkits.
 
The "Guiding Opinions" put forward opinions and measures from three directions: special fields, typical scenarios of manufacturing, people's livelihood and key industries. First, accelerate the application of humanoid robots in special environments, face the needs of harsh conditions and dangerous scenes, and strengthen the ability of ontology control, fast movement, and accurate perception in complex environments. The second is to focus on key areas of 3C, automotive and other manufacturing industries, improve the ability of humanoid robot tool operation and task execution, create humanoid robot demonstration production lines and factories, and achieve deep application in typical manufacturing scenarios. The third is to expand the service application of humanoid robots in medical care, housekeeping and other livelihood fields, meet the needs of high-quality life such as life and health, accompany nursing, and promote the application of humanoid robots in key industries such as agriculture and logistics, and improve the operation capabilities of human-computer interaction, smart grasping, sorting and handling, and intelligent distribution.
