At 20 o 'clock on October 26, Beijing time, Covos held the 2022 autumn strategic new product release conference, which was synchronized online globally, and showed a new Covos to the world through bilingual Chinese and English for the first time. The conference created an immersive experience of scene shuttle through high technology. Qian Cheng, CEO of Covos Robotics, released the intelligent lawnmowing robot GOAT G1 in the courtyard of Europe, and exhibited the new commercial cleaning solutions DEEBOT PRO K1 and M1 in Suzhou Museum, introducing the future of robots.

The GOAT G1, the first intelligent lawnmowing robot launched by Covos, takes "robot vision" as a breakthrough to bring consumers more convenient, efficient, beautiful and safe intelligent lawnmowing experience, opening the era of intelligent lawnmowing robot 2.0.

According to Qian, only 10 percent of lawnmowing tools are roboticized globally, and the main reason is that the products are not smart enough and the user experience is not good. The technical bottleneck behind these problems is "boundary sensing", "precise positioning" and "navigation obstacle avoidance". And the basic capabilities of these robots are where Covos' technological leadership lies.

Covos introduced, taking the European market as an example, users have three major pain points in the use of existing products: the need for artificial embedded boundary lines, only random or semi-planned cutting, often stuck collision injury injury. GOAT G1 solves these problems with robot vision. Cobos pioneered the TrueMapping quadruple fusion positioning system, whose core technological innovation is a robotic binocular vision solution consisting of a 360-degree panoramic camera and a fisheye camera, which enables precise positioning "at the centimeter level" in courtyards where physical boundaries are unclear and the ground is unundulated. The system also integrates UWB ultra-bandwidth wireless carrier communication technology, inertial navigation technology and GPS positioning technology to make the GOAT's positioning performance more stable.

GOAT G1's robotic vision technology eliminates the need for complex boundary arrangements and greatly improves the efficiency and effectiveness of cutting, allowing GOAT G1 to cut up to 600 square meters of grass in a single day. With the AIVI 3D solution consisting of vision sensors and ToF sensors, the GOAT G1 is designed to be injury-free and safer. In addition, it is a robot yard security housekeeper.

In this press conference, Covos not only broke through the technical barriers of indoor and outdoor scenes, but also put forward a new idea for the commercial cleaning field.

Qian said China's commercial cleaning equipment market reached 48.5 billion yuan at the end of 2021, but the robotization rate was only 0.56 percent. The reason is that the large area and complex structure of commercial scenes such as shopping malls, office buildings, hotels, restaurants and retail Spaces require higher ability of robots. But existing products either don't have enough capacity or are too expensive to use.

Covas launched DEEBOT PRO today also equipped with HIVE (Homogeneous Intelligence Variable Execution), Covas' first cooperative robot system, so that multiple robots can have shared "strongest brains". It can autonomously share infrastructure, exchange environment and location information, and autonomously dispatch and coordinate cleaning operations. DEEBOT PRO has adopted a full rental business model for the first time to reduce user costs, and the first Cobos robot rental platform was launched today. In the first quarter of next year, DEEBOT PRO will enter various commercial Spaces.

It is reported that Covos innovation is even more than products, more focused on robotic ecology and the layout of the upstream and downstream value chain. Cobos believes that the future of robotics is collaboration, so continue to layout in this area. Last year, Covos released YIKO, an intelligent voice assistant, which opened a new way for human-machine collaboration in the service robot industry. HIVE, a multi-machine collaboration system released by Covos this year, realizes the interconnection between robots and brings more possibilities to the development of robots.
