On March 11, the first selection contest of the second Chongqing Youth Intelligent Robot Programming Competition and the first intelligent robot programming competition in Tongliang District was held in Tongliang. The contest is sponsored by Chongqing Municipal Propaganda Department, Municipal Civilization Office, Municipal Education Commission, Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Tongliang District Propaganda Department, district Civilization Office, district Education Commission, district science and Technology Bureau, etc., divided into high school group, junior high school group, primary school group.
A total of 305 teams and 516 contestants from 11 districts and counties, including Bishan, Hechuan, Dazu and Tongliang, participated in the first selection of the second Chongqing Youth Intelligent Robot Programming Competition. Twenty-one schools, 108 teams and 216 players from Tongliang District participated in the first intelligent robot programming competition.

It is understood that the selection competition has seven projects, including Mars new farming civilization, Mars resources transportation, Mars home plan, Mars defense battle, Mars rescue remote control competition, Mars rescue program competition and Mars Pathfinder. Participants should design and make robots, write robot operation programs, debug and operate robots on site, and complete the task within the specified time.

The robot must navigate a prescribed course, avoid obstacles, and collect energy blocks to return to base camp in preparation for Mars development, according to the chief judge of the competition. In the competition, the robot pushes the energy block back, and the score is 1. If the energy block is picked up by the robot arm and put on the robot back, the score is 1.5. "The children need to design not only the chassis of the robot, but also the program and the robot arm, which is a certain difficulty."

In the first intelligent robot programming competition area of Tongliang District, a "winter snow Sports meeting" is being held. Cross-country skiing, figure skating, short track speed skating... Competitors have artificial intelligence robots designed by themselves simulate the ice and snow events on the field.
"Participating in this competition has made me understand the importance of teamwork, that one person is not enough, and that everyone needs to work together. In the future study and life, I also want to help each other and students to work together, grow together." Zhang Hanchen, a student from Class 7, Grade 5, Tongliang District No.1 Experimental Primary School, said that he liked robots very much. After signing up for the competition, he and his team members took advantage of after-class service time to conduct run-in training, hoping to get good results in the competition.

"Participating in this competition requires children to master the basic knowledge of robots, mechanical structure, arm design, programming and other knowledge, which is conducive to cultivating children's interest in robot programming."
