During the two-day competition, 1,900 teachers and students from more than 260 schools and off-campus educational institutions in the city formed nearly 400 teams to participate in the four projects of "Robot Engineering Challenge", "VEX VRC", "VEX IQ" and "Intelligent Machinery - 100 times 100 times". There will also be two virtual competitions, "ENJOY AI - Space Journey" and "SuperAI - Double Carbon Pioneer", as well as the "Children's Engineering Creativity" exhibition and defense for the lower grades of primary schools, which will be carried out online.
It is worth noting that in addition to absorbing internationally well-known competition projects, the backbone teachers of robotics in Beijing also independently developed and created the "Robot Engineering Challenge" and "Intelligent machinery - 100 hair 100 in" projects. The competition proposes that the two projects do not specify competition equipment, as long as the equipment that meets the requirements of the technical indicators in the rules can be used, such provisions not only reduce the school's investment in competition equipment, at the same time, this "field determined task" can inspect the learning results of the participating students and exercise their resilience.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, the Beijing Student Robot Intelligence Competition was founded in 2012, aiming to create a relaxed, free and open atmosphere for students with innovative practical activities as the carrier, and build a display and exchange platform for robot education and teaching in schools. Through the competition activities, students are trained to be rigorous and meticulous, to be able to integrate and use multidisciplinary knowledge, to think logically, to solve problems and to make decisions, and to cultivate team spirit.
It is understood that this competition is sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and is a key activity in the Beijing Student Science and Technology Festival. This year's event is jointly organized by the Beijing Children's Palace and the Social Undertakings Bureau of Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, and co-organized by the school of Beijing No. 2 Middle School Economic Development District.
